Mike and Deborah Zook are interdenominational Christian missionaries seeking to use world class sports events as a platform for the presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sport is an international language that brings people together. We seek ways and events that will present the claims to people gathered for major sports events, i.e. Olympics, World Cup, etc.

A simple, proven blueprint for ministry…
Expose the maximum number of individuals to the gospel through a variety of tools like the “Jesus” film, evangelistic gatherings, music, athletes, special speakers, and print and electronic media.
Win people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a clear and personal presentation of the gospel.
Build new believers in their faith through one-on-one and group discipleship strategies.
Train believers to be spiritual multipliers in their sphere of influence, their community, and their culture.
Send equipped believers to expose, win, build, train, and send others so that every person on earth will have the opportunity to respond to Jesus Christ and grow in their faith.
Complementary types of ministry…
- Direct ministry with regular, face-to-face contact involving significant time, initiative, and follow-through.
- Catalytic ministry of influence and initiative at key points by mentors and facilitators, but not as face-to-face or as regular as in direct ministry. Implementation on bases or communities is very dependent on the motivation of trained volunteers.
- Resource ministry of training, supplying, helping, and responding to partnership ministries and volunteers in evangelism and discipleship, often through an established church or mission-minded organization.
Meet the Zooks…
We are Mike and Deborah Zook. We believe that God has called us to help fulfill the Great Commission by reaching men and women and their families for Christ as vocational Christian workers.
Mike retired from the Navy in 1991 after twenty years of service. During our naval career, we were involved as Associate Staff members in the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, where we have had great opportunities to minister to servicemen and women at our duty stations around the world.
Retirement and a career change were big steps in our lives. Our options were to continue in engineering or go into full time vocational Christian service. We’ve enjoyed facilities management, but we have always desired to use our 50+ hours a week to benefit the Lord’s work. For the past twenty years we have confined our ministry to after hours and weekends.
Shortly before retirement, the Lord confirmed His leading, and we joined the fulltime staff of Campus Crusade for Christ.
We have served as event planners with FamilyLife and the Congress on the Urban Family, and on the headquarters staff of the Military Ministry.
We worked on projects and events aimed at evangelism and discipleship of US military men and women and families.
After an assignment in New York City following the tragedy of 911, the Lord led us to move to Orlando and become part of the headquarters support function and a management training program. We completed our tour of duty, and then moved to Ohio to work on the international team of Athletes in Action, the sport ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.
We resourced and managed projects that span the entire scope of our ninety country ministries. The Lord is used our conference management skills to provide platforms for training and resourcing staff and teams around the world.
We left Campus Crusade for Christ in February 2009, and now work with another organization doing the same events and conference planning functions, now to a wider audience.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for every person in America and around the world to trust Jesus Christ as their personal savior, and to build them up in their faith.
